Louise has over 25 years of communications experience working with leading global agencies, companies, and nonprofits in Europe, Asia, and the U.S. She brings an international perspective to her clients, which have included major players in aviation, healthcare, technology, consumer packaged goods, luxury & lifestyle, and financial services as well as non-profits. Since launching Iron Purpose in 2021 she has provided consulting services for Meta, The University of Illinois Chicago's (UIC) health portfolio including UI Health and the UIC College of Medicine, as well as Regeneron and RestoringVision.
Previously, she was Chief, Global Communications and Marketing for the international nonprofit, Orbis International. A member of the Executive Leadership team she built and led all brand communications and marketing including the global launch of the third-generation Orbis Flying Eye Hospital, the creation and rollout of the brand vision and mission, and 3-year strategy incorporating earned, paid, and owned media.
Formerly, Louise was the Chief Global Strategist at a global PR firm, Ruder Finn, working with clients including Bayer, Bloomberg LP, Citigroup, Danone, FXB International, Hermès, Kering, Mercedes Benz, Novartis, Sanofi, and the Singapore Economic Development Board.
Her issues and crisis management experience have included Board investigations, employee-related issues, trademark and intellectual property, product recalls, disease outbreaks, and animal rights activism.
Before moving to New York in 2006, Louise headed up the Asia Pacific region for Ruder Finn, based in Singapore, and built the agency's regional operations across China and Southeast Asia. She started her communications career at Burson-Marsteller’s London office before moving to Singapore.
A defining moment in Orbis’s history, Louise was instrumental in the launch of the nonprofit’s third-generation Flying Eye Hospital in 2016. Louise led communications launch activities across 7 US markets before the aircraft took flight for its first sight-saving mission in China.
During her five years tenure with Orbis, Louise developed and rolled out a new brand identity, tagline, mission and vision, and message framework, as well as guidelines on content capture and social media policy. She oversaw the relaunch of a new global website, as well as a Digital Asset Management system for effective sharing of assets internally and externally. During the pandemic, she guided teams on communications and marketing during COVID-19 which included the launch of the Virtual Flying Eye Hospital, a podcast series, and the training of a broad range of spokespeople.
She worked closely with corporate partners including OMEGA watches, Alcon, Boeing, FedEx, Hoya, Microsoft Xbox, and Santen on joint promotions and events, press releases, blogs, and co-created content to highlight their brand partnerships with Orbis.
Beyond Orbis, Louise has two decades of experience in Cause Communications working with NonProfits, Corporates and Partnerships.
